Tesa- Licensed Midwife

At the heart of my practice lies a deep respect for the natural process of birth and the empowered women who navigate this journey. With over 10 years of experience as a midwife and more than 500 births attended—80% of them water births—I bring a seasoned, watchful eye to each unique birth scenario. Together with my husband, also a U.S. Air Force veteran, and our six wonderful children, we are embarking on a new chapter, relocating to Upper Peninsula, Michigan.

I founded and operated a birth center for eight years, where I honed my skills and deepened my understanding of family-centered care. My background also spans private practice and a community FQHC, emphasizing my adaptability and commitment to serving diverse communities. My passion, however, has always been home births, where I believe women can truly experience the strength and grace of childbirth in the comfort of their surroundings.

My approach to midwifery is conservative, yet I am unyielding and adept in managing complications and emergencies. I believe in the power of observation—recognizing the moments to simply witness the miracle of birth and knowing precisely when to intervene with medical expertise.

Beyond my role in clinical settings, I am dedicated to mentoring the future torchbearers of midwifery. I am committed to teaching aspiring midwives not just the clinical skills but also how to thrive in the evolving landscape of healthcare, ensuring they are well-prepared to lead the next generation with confidence and compassion.

I look forward to continuing my journey in Michigan, bringing my experience, empathy, and expertise to support women and families in achieving the birth experiences they envision.

Lindsey- Student Midwife

We'd like to introduce one of our new student midwives, Lindsey! Lindsey is a student midwife at SWTC and a birth and postpartum doula. She lives in Green Bay with her five wonderful children; three girls and two boys. In her free time she loves gardening and tending to her plants and her family loves going camping and being outdoors. Lindsey’s love for the birth world came shortly after her first daughter was born and from that moment on she knew she wanted to help women feel empowered by having a voice in their birth. “Don’t wait for the storms to pass, learn how to dance in the rain." -unknown

Antionette - Student Midwife

Antionette Wright was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and has been a resident of Green Bay for over twenty years. She is a mother of six children, four of whom are adults, and a grandmother to two beautiful baby girls. She has been married to her husband for 14 years.

Antionette is a certified postpartum and labor doula. She is also on track to graduate with an Associate Degree in Midwifery from SWTC in December 2025. Antionette is currently serving as a postpartum and labor doula to many women throughout Green Bay, WI, which provides her with hands-on experience in the field she is pursuing.

Antionette’s long-term goal is to put herself in a position to advocate for policies that ensure women’s health remains safe and accessible. Her dream is to elevate the voices of those on the front lines of birthing disparities, specifically working with underserved communities in rural areas.

Dani- Practice Administrator

Dani is the fourth child out of six children and has been in a loving relationship with her boyfriend for over four years. She was introduced to the world of midwifery at a young age when her mother, Tesa, brought her into the business at the age of 16. Since then, Dani has worked on the office side of midwifery, where she has developed a strong appreciation for the vital care midwives provide. Although she does not plan to become a midwife herself, Dani remains deeply committed to supporting the profession and the families it serves.
